a funny southern accent story...

This morning the kids were up super early so we headed out for the park about 7:30 am! It's going to be super hot today so we went early! Davis was playing with a little girl named Emma. They were rolling the ball back and forth through a tunnel when the ball dropped. Emma's mom picked it up and said, "Emma, now give the "booowl" (in her NJ accent) back to Davis." Davis looked through the tunnel and said, "No, you say it like this......"baawwl" (in his very southern accent!). We all laughed hysterically. We meet a new little guy today. His name was Michael...he was 10 and had down syndrome. He & davis were buddies. It was precious...they played soccer, chase, climbed, and Michael taught him to do "nan nah nan nah boo boo!" I love that little people see no differences.

  1. OK, no fare, this post made me laugh AND cry! Children are so precious. I wish more people could see things through the eyes of a child (including me).
