When I was pregnant with Davis, everytime I sneezed I would smell sugar cookies/ vanilla cake. Seriously. It sounds so bizarre, but it is the truth! Well, I bent down to give Davis a smooch tonight and that smell was there...even at almost three years old! I had big fat tears because he has smelled like that even if he sweats or whatever. Shane thinks I am nuts, but I think it's just his mama's nose that can detect the sweetness. It's the yummiest smell and it's only on him. Do you think his wife will mind if I come over to get a sniff one day?
I'll always think of Davis and his cheek-sniffing-momma everytime I see a sugar cookie now....thank you. It's just one of the ways that God makes our blessings even "sweeter".
