the countdown is on!

...only about another month until we head to Georgia for a while! We are having a great time up here. We've had tons of visitors, which has made the time go by so fast. We're enjoying it so much in this town that we are now calling "home!" For a little while anyways... The weather is getting cooler and the sun is shining today for the first time in about a week. It reminds me so much of the perfect fall day in Clarkesville, maybe that's why I'm getting anxious to come home & pick some pumpkins. The kids have adjusted so well and love exploring new places. We're still able to squeeze in some afternoons at the beach before it gets too cool. In fact, we're packed and ready to head there today! Shane is doing so well at Merial. He's making some great changes, which makes it easier to be up here. I'm so proud of him. Davis had a fabulous birthday and has loved telling people that he's 3 now! Carson is sweeter than ever and talking up a storm. She and Davis are big buddies and make each other laugh until they fall over on the ground. I love that all of this just fell into place. It didn't make sense at first, but isn't it that way when we trust God? I know he's giving us this time to be together as a family for a reason. What a gift, and I am trying not to take one day for granted.

We are not quite sure of the date that we'll be home...sometime around the middle of October. Shane will be working in Australia for about 7 weeks while we are there. Then, we will spend the holidays at home before heading north again! Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and hugging the necks of our good friends and family! xxoo
