snowy weekend

Our weekend started off so calm...with a little Toddler Yoga.  This was a free class offered at our library and we couldn't turn it down.  Now, this was a funny experience.  The instructor was the coolest grandma in town.  She was pretty much a hippie, but adorable.  She was so patient and loving with the kids.  They had their own mats and classical music.  If I would've known it was this fancy, we would have worn our leotards and brought our camera!  Davis loved it.  He was the perfect age for the class.  Carson was a riot and when it came time to do "downward facing dog pose" she kept everyone in stitches by doing the pose AND barking very loud and laughing.  It was so funny!
Saturday, we woke up & had our normal pancake breakfast.  The kids stayed in their PJs and watched movies with Dad while I went to the gym.  The forecast called for some snow...but, by the time I left the ground and roads were covered!!!  We couldn't believe how much snow fell in such a short amount of time.  Our neighbors told us that they have not seen snow like this since 1984... i know the date, because he's told me about it 50 times since.  :-)  At least he's warming up to us now and doesn't snarl when he sees us coming!  Ha!  By that evening, we were going a little stir crazy so we bundled up the kiddos and went to find somewhere to eat dinner.  It was so fun that night and the kids loved being out.
The snow is still on the back roads and tons in our yard.  We don't anticipate it going anywhere this week.....and we are expecting MORE this weekend!  Seriously?  Good thing Walmart had some boots that were my size.  They will come in handy this winter.
Here are some highlights of the blizzard of 2010.  It still feels very weird to have snow at the beach.
