Sister will be turning two soon so we wanted to get a jump start on getting ready.
We really love the Children's Book Garden and are so grateful for their awesome story hour each week, so I thought we'd do some of our shopping there. So this morning I told Davis that it was his job to pick out something for Carson...that is just from him. He looked....and looked....and looked...and then I felt a tug on my pants. He had taken this doll that he picked out and hid it behind some other toys. He wispered in my ear..."I found it mom...my present will be the most specialist!" I went over and picked it up & then took it to the counter to pay for it. Don't ask me the cost... being that it's from him, it's priceless, right? That's what we'll tell daddy. On the way home, I told Davis that I thought his gift was just perfect for his sister. He got a huge grin and said, "Oh i know. And I got it because she had a bow and sister loves bows."
He then tried to "trick" her and say, "Ooohh Carson, I'm so sorry you're not getting a birthday present from me." And chuckled...
And because she is only going to be two and still a bit nieve...
Her response was, "I'm sorry too, Bubbie!"
How sweet! Don't you just love how big brothers love their little sisters!
ReplyDeleteokay it's 11 pm, the bedroom is pitch black (except the glowing from my laptop over here in the corner) as I'm feeding Sam (hoping he'll feel inclined to sleep till 7...more on that later) and absolutely giggling out loud at Davis tricking his sister! what a ham! can't wait to hear how sissy likes her specialist gift of all...good thing Carson doesn't blog yet, right?
