setting up beach camp

Shane has been home with us for a few days.  So nice to have his company & super nice to have him set up camp when we go to the beach!  The weather has been amazing.  I'm so glad because it seems like the last few weekends have been rainy.  Shane is super serious about having the kids comfortable at the beach...which in turn means we're comfortable too and can relax some.  (notice I said...some!)  I took a few pictures of some things I loved about today. 
This is our cooler that a Clarkesville family gave us when we got married.  Which means that we've had it for 10 years!!!  We call it Old Trusty.  He goes everywhere with us.  He has seen some really fun times over the years.  Well, he was injured today.  His zipper finally came apart.  We don't know the Pruitt family well, but can't wait to tell them one day what a super wedding gift they gave. 

Shane likes to have fresh water at the beach.  To put in the baby pool, to rinse off sand in the eyes, etc.  He got this huge blue barrel from work and installed a nozzle and hose to take with us.  It's hysterical.  I wish you could see the looks we get from the beach strollers walking by.

I went into the water today a few times and could actually see my toes for the first time!  The water was truly so crystal blue....and FREEZING!  The people up here are nuts...they were in neck deep!

It was a quiet day.  A relaxing day.  The kids are usually wild on the beach, but today they were so quiet and just played by themselves most of the time.
