35 won't be so bad!

It's the eve of my 35th birthday.

The air is a bit cooler...maybe just in the high 80s.

My children are tucked in their beds so I go out for a quiet jog.

I'm trying so desperately to make these fluffy legs go faster.

My heart felt strong tonight and my knees & back didn't hurt.

I don't feel 35.  I do feel older, just not 35 yet. 

For so long I looked a good 10 years younger, and now...well I look 35. 

It's ok.  I have accomplished a lot in these 35 years that makes me so proud.

My laugh lines were well deserved and these hips... well, i just look at my beautiful daughter's face and it's a reminder that she was 100% worth it. 

My gray hair is ok, too.  It can be colored and it reminds me of the nights (and days!) of sweet davis crying and screaming and me trying so hard to figure out what was "wrong" with him.

Life is so good & I have been blessed more than I can write about.

I'm so lucky tonight.

To be able to run.  To see the amazing sunset with two (almost) good eyes. To turn another year older and enjoy my precious family.

I'm feeling some really big changes coming on that I'm really excited about.

Our family will settle back in Georgia.

I'll start back in the classroom.

My children will go on to their own rooms.  Not together...not with me.

(and they'll be completely ok!)

Shane will be plowing our garden that we dream about.

...and I am hoping to start my specialist degree in the mix. 

Thank you, Lord, for yet another year.
