Davis woke me up this morning to tell me that he was hungry. I was in a fog, so I grabbed some cookies and sent him back to bed. Good parenting, huh? I thought it was in the middle of the night. I went to lay back down and looked outside...it was glowing. "I see SNOW!", I told my sleepy husband. Opened up the blinds and snow was everywhere. And, it was 6:50 am! We went to get the kids, bundled them up, and hurried outside. It was absolutely beautiful and so unexpected. The forecast said flurries. Yipee for them being wrong, as usual. Davis was in heaven. He could make a mean snowball and loved pelting his mother! Carson just licked her snowball and called it "cream". We told her we were going to make snow cream later in the day. Davis loved making snow angels and making snowprints with his fun boots. Round 2 happened at about 9:00. Once we thawed out, we bundled back up and went outside again. We made a small snowman, too. They were not as impressed...maybe because it was about 8 inches tall! I thought she was cute though. It has been a super fun morning. Davis has been promised that if he stays in his bed, mama will take him out for another snowball war after he rests.
My little snowbunnies have had a super fun day, and their mom is worn out!
Girl- you guys already had a full day before we even got started! I love it! Hope it continues to be a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow...what fun! We see snow here, but it's not enough for even a 1 inch snowman! I love your snow pic montage. My favorites are of Davis tuckered out by the door, Davis in the very middle with his tongue out, and sweet Carson in the middle on the bottom row! What a cute face. I also love that she styled two different snow outfits...what a mini fashion diva!
ReplyDeleteThis was God's gift to you so you would know that your winter wouldn't be boring. Love them all, I wish I had some snow cream to eat.
