She is 89 and would be 90 in September. Her & Davis share the same birthday.
It was so fun to call her almost 4 years ago on Sept. 9th.
She will talk your head off and tell you the same story 100 times.
She has the most beautiful blue eyes...that she passed on to her great grandaughter.
Her wrinkles tell quite a story.
She raised three boys by herself when her husband passed away in his forties.
She calls me Jenny and I'm her all-american girl.
She loved taking me to feed the ducks when I was little.
Her name is Selma and she doesn't meet a stranger.
We feel so lucky that we were able to spend this past Christmas with her.
She is very sick and needs our prayers.
She is very sick and needs our prayers.
She really loves the lord and not afraid of dying.
My prayer is that she is able to go quietly...without making a scene.
My prayer is that she is able to go quietly...without making a scene.
Just the way she has lived her long & healthy life.
XXOO
p.s. and it really really stinks not being able to give her a big fat hug right now.
This is so sweet Jennifer. She sounds like a wonderful lady! I will keep her in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteShe is such a sweet lady, I will never forget how happy she was for us to get Christian and kept telling me over and over at Davis's party. What a beautiful post for an amazing woman.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this with us. I have never met her, but I can tell by the pictures that she is a kind, loving woman. Love you all so much.
