last of the visitors

What a great week we had with Uncle Shad, Aunt Jan, Michael, & Meredith!

They came this past week and boy did we play hard.  It was a blast! 

Spent most of our time at the beach.  Digging in the sand, jumping waves, skipping naps, and drinking more CapriSuns than we can count.  The kids had an absolute ball together!  They played hard all day and crashed at night.  The adults even slipped in a fun night out & a kid-free seafood dinner at home. 

I'm so thankful for family and glad they could spend their summer vacation with us in Maryland!  

We welcomed the rain on Saturday, and headed for the zoo.  What fun to use our umbrellas and growl at the animals. 

We were sad to see them go back to Georgia this morning, but also know that they'll be our last visitors here in Maryland before heading back to Georgia.  The kids woke up this morning with some disappointment in their voices (just like they do everytime our guests leave....) and then Davis popped up and said, "Hooray!  we go back to Georgia today!"  I had told him that we'd head back after Michael & Meredith leave...hard to explain the three weeks part!  Ha!
