Meet Fishy & Carl

What a fun day.  We spent over an hour in Petco...for those of you who know me well, that is HUGE.  I'm not really an animal person.  My kids are a bit afraid of animals, so i'm working really hard to change that.  It was actually a lot of fun (well, except for the nasty mice) and we decided we needed a pet.  We're starting off small.  Cheap & small.  We'll work on an outside dog when we get back to Georgia. 

Meet Carl.  He's red and his owner is Davis.  Carl was very carefully selected.  He was chosen because he was fast.  Fishy is our blue fish and her owner is Carson.  She was chosen by luck of the draw.  You know, my spontaneous daughter closed her eyes and said, "this one!"  She happens to be bright blue and beautiful just like her owner's eyes.  We hope to keep them as part of our family for a long time. 

After we got home & got our new fish settled into their new home, we headed out to see the boats that will be racing in the Ocean City speedboat races tomorrow!  Should be super cool to watch from the boardwalk.  Today was the preview day.  These boats were amazing and looked mighty dangerous if you ask me!
