she is two.

Typing those words in the title brings tears to my eyes.  Really, two?   Two years ago, on May 11, it was Mother's day.  It was a long and painful day.  I wanted her to come so bad that day.  And, she did.  God brought this beautiful little girl into the world at 11:39 pm.  Happy Mother's Day.  It was a great delivery.  I remember not being scared.  I remember being elated that she was a girl.  A sister & a daughter for our family.
Oh, she was the easiest baby.  So happy & laid back.  And then, well...she turned two.  The books are right.  The tantrums...they are real.  She has these out-of-body experiences that make you either crazy or want to die laughing.  She is making me become more patient.

She is so fun and full of life.  Loves to laugh.  Loves to make silly faces.  Loves to be stuck to my hip like super glue.
I love that even at two she still has chunky hands and tiny little facial features.  Her little pug nose and heart lips get us everytime.

She is very chatty and loves to be on her daddy's or bubbie's heels.  She loves to sing & pucker her lips when she dances.
Two years ago, God gave us a gift that makes our family complete.  She is amazing and I'm so giddy that I get to call her daughter.  I can't wait to see her blossom this year as she goes to daycare for the first time.  She's independent and loves to play so we know she'll do just fine.  In fact, we're betting that she'll love it.  We know your big brother (who happens to adore the heck out of you...) is there to protect you.

Carson Laine, you are one special girl and we love you to the moon and back.
Now, please stop biting & pinching us.  Ok?  We know you love us, too.
You truly are our SUNSHINE!

  5. I am so thankful for this blog! I love reading about your sweet babies. I just shared the entry of Carson's birthday with Mack. He was confused about the whole blog thing. I told him that i know your children even though I don't get to see them! He is now insisting that i start one of these so our children will be able to go back and read about their childhood. Can you help me? I don't have a CLUE how to do this! We love and miss all of you!
